Below is a list of Southern Circuit Itineraries that we have compiled for you to choose from or you can select the duration of your Safari from the list below.

2 NIGHTS SELOUS GAME RESERVE

DAY 1:

7:30 am – Your driver guide picks you up from your hotel in Dar-es-Salaam or airport and drive to Selous Game Reserve. You shall reach Selous in the afternoon. Upon your arrival you shall check in at your lodge, have your lunch, after lunch go for a boat Safari along the Rufiji River where you shall get to see crocodiles, hippos. You can also see some game grazing along the river. The travel time/distance is approximately (6-7Hrs / 1,575 kms)

7:30 pm – Dinner and overnight in Selous

 

DAY 2:

7:00 am – Breakfast

8:00 am – Full day Game drive at Selous Game Reserve. Selous Game Reserve is named after the explorer Frederick Selous and it is the largest protected wildlife reserve and a UN World Heritage site and a pristine uninhabited area larger than Switzerland. The topography of the park varies from rolling savannah woodland, grassland plain and rocky outcrops cut by the Rufiji River and its tributaries. The park is famous for boat Safaris and walking Safaris in the bush accompanied by an armed ranger or Maasai guide

7:30 pm – Dinner and overnight in Selous

 

 

DAY 3:

6:00 am – Early morning game drive

9:00 am – Late breakfast then drive back to Dar-es-Salaam where you shall arrive late afternoon or early evening. The travel time/distance is approximately (6-7Hrs / 1,575 kms)

2 NIGHTS MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK

DAY 1:

7:30 am – Pick up from your hotel in Dar-es-Salaam or airport and drive to Mikumi National Park. The park is nestled between the Uruguru Mountains to the East and the Rift Valley Escarpments to the Southwest. As it is close to the Selous ecosystem and therefore is part of it. It benefits from the highest game density of the entire conservation area. The Mikumi National Park obtains a good impression of the African animal sanctuary and is suitable very well for a short visit. The travel time/distance is approximately (4 Hrs / 309 kms).

1:00 pm – After lunch its Game Drive until evening

7:30 pm – Dinner and overnight in Mikumi

 

DAY 2:

7:00 am – Breakfast

8:00 am – Full day Game drive in Mikumi National Park with picnic lunch. There is a rich variety of bird species as well as large numbers of giraffes, buffaloes and elephants and close to the water holes also leopards and hippos. Furthermore you can see zebras, lions, wild dogs, pythons, hartebeest, wildebeest, elephants, impala, warthog, eland and other antelopes. Several observation towers will enable you to view the park in its entirety. Mikumi National Park is mostly Miombo woodland with gently rolling hills. You shall also go for a walking safari in the African Bush with an armed ranger.

7:30 am – Dinner and overnight in Mikumi

DAY 3:

9:00 am – After early morning Game drive, take a late breakfast and drive back to Dar-es-Salaam. The travel time/distance is approximately (4Hrs / 309 kms)

2 NIGHTS RUAHA NATIONAL PARK

DAY 1:

7:30 am – Early morning flight from Dar-es-Salaam to Ruaha National Park. Your driver guide will pick you up at Msembe airstrip where you shall land and take you to your lodge for lunch. After lunch relax at lodge and enjoy some scenery and a bit of game drive until evening.  Flight time is 3 hours.

7:30 pm – Dinner and overnight in Ruaha

 

DAY 2:

7:00 am – Breakfast

 

8:00 am – Full day Game Drive and walking Safaris at Ruaha National Park one of Tanzania’s best kept wildlife secrets. Previously inaccessibility has ensured being unaffected by the ravages of mankind. It is Tanzania’s biggest elephant sanctuary and location of the Great Ruaha River flowing along its eastern border creating spectacular gorges. DAY 1:

7:30 am – Morning flight to Ruaha National Park that departs around 10:30 am. Land at Msembe Airstrip where you shall be picked up by your driver guide and be taken to your lodge for lunch.
