Take a 14-day journey through Uganda’s top destinations, including Jinja, Kidepo Valley National Park, Murchison Falls, Kibale Forest, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, and Lake Bunyonyi.
Highlights include the Source of the Nile, Sipi Falls, game drives, cultural visits, boat cruises, chimpanzee trekking, and gorilla trekking. The trip ends with a relaxed transfer to Kampala or Entebbe, capturing Uganda’s rich wildlife, natural beauty, and cultural diversity.
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, a representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. Enjoy a quiet evening as you settle in from your travels.
Day 2: Entebbe to Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast, drive north to Murchison Falls National Park. Visit the top of the falls to see where the Nile forces through a narrow gorge with powerful force. Check in at your lodge and unwind.
Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park
Begin your day with a game drive through the park’s savannah and woodland areas. Expect to see elephants, giraffes, lions, antelope, and more. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise on the Nile River to the base of the falls, watching for hippos, crocodiles, and birds.
Day 4: Murchison Falls to Kibale Forest National Park
Leave Murchison Falls and travel south to Kibale Forest. On the way, stop at Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a guided nature walk rich in birdlife and primates. Arrive at your lodge in the evening.
Day 5: Kibale Forest National Park
Set out for chimpanzee trekking with expert guides. After the trek, you can either visit a nearby community for cultural insight or rest at your lodge in the forest.
Day 6: Kibale to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for its diverse animal populations and crater lakes. In the afternoon, go for a game drive and keep your eyes open for elephants, buffalo, lions, and other wildlife.
Day 7: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Take an early morning game drive to catch wildlife at their most active. Later, enjoy a boat safari on the Kazinga Channel to observe hippos, crocodiles, and birds along the water’s edge.
Day 8: Queen Elizabeth to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After breakfast, travel to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a stronghold for mountain gorillas. Settle in at your lodge surrounded by lush vegetation and towering trees.
Day 9: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest
Meet with park rangers for a briefing, then head out for a once-in-a-lifetime trek to visit a mountain gorilla family. You’ll spend one hour in their presence before returning to your lodge for some rest or optional activities.
Day 10: Explore More of Bwindi
Choose to go for a second gorilla trek (if permits are available) or enjoy a guided forest walk to learn more about the local ecosystem and communities.
Day 11: Bwindi to Lake Bunyonyi
Drive to Lake Bunyonyi, a peaceful spot surrounded by terraced hills. Spend the afternoon at leisure or explore nearby islands by boat.
Day 12: Relax at Lake Bunyonyi
Spend the day enjoying the calm atmosphere of Lake Bunyonyi. Go for a boat ride, hike to a viewpoint, or just relax by the water.
Day 13: Lake Bunyonyi to Kampala
After breakfast, travel back to Kampala. Along the way, enjoy views of Uganda’s countryside. Upon arrival, you may visit the Uganda Museum or shop for souvenirs in local markets.
Day 14: Departure
Depending on your flight schedule, you’ll be transferred to Entebbe International Airport. Say goodbye to Uganda with a heart full of memories and unique experiences.
