Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Jinja
Begin your safari with a scenic drive to Jinja, a lively town known for its adventure offerings and historical significance as the Source of the Nile.
Day 2: Explore the Nile – Source Visit & Boat Ride
Visit the Source of the Nile and enjoy a boat cruise along the river. Optional adventure activities like tubing or white-water rafting are available.
Day 3: Transfer to Sipi Falls (Mount Elgon Region)
Travel to the beautiful Sipi Falls. In the evening, explore the cascading waterfalls and enjoy views over the Karamoja plains.
Day 4: Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park, Evening Nature Walk
Drive north to the remote and rugged Kidepo Valley National Park. Settle in with an evening nature walk in one of Uganda’s most untouched wilderness areas.
Day 5: Kidepo Game Drive & Karimojong Cultural Encounter
Experience a morning game drive followed by a cultural visit to the Karimojong community to learn about their traditions and lifestyle.
Day 6: Morning Game Drive & Leisure Time
Another game drive gives you more chances to encounter lions, elephants, giraffes, and more. The afternoon is free for relaxation at the lodge.
Day 7: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Travel through scenic landscapes en route to Murchison Falls National Park, where the Nile River crashes through a narrow gorge to create the world’s most powerful waterfall.
Day 8: Game Drive & Nile Boat Cruise
Start with a morning game drive and enjoy an afternoon boat cruise along the Nile, spotting hippos, crocodiles, and birdlife along the banks.
Day 9: Top of Murchison Falls Visit & Transfer to Kibale Forest
Visit the top of the falls for spectacular views before driving to Kibale Forest National Park, home to Uganda’s largest chimpanzee population.
Day 10: Chimpanzee Trekking & Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP
Track chimpanzees in the lush Kibale Forest in the morning, then continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for its diverse wildlife and crater lakes.
Day 11: Game Drive & Boat Safari on Kazinga Channel
Enjoy a morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, followed by an afternoon boat safari on the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lakes Edward and George.
Day 12: Nature Walk & Transfer to Bwindi via Batwa Visit
Take a nature walk and then travel to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Stop en route for a cultural experience with the Batwa pygmies.
Day 13: Gorilla Trekking & Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Set out early for gorilla trekking in the dense Bwindi forest. In the afternoon, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, known for its scenic views and peaceful atmosphere.
Day 14: Return to Kampala or Entebbe
Drive back to Kampala or Entebbe, marking the end of your 14-day Uganda safari with a camera full of memories and a heart full of adventure.
