Join Travel Hype Adventures for an amazing 3-day trip to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to more than half of the world’s mountain gorillas. This adventure brings you face to face with these rare animals in their natural home, and includes a cultural visit to the Batwa community, the forest’s original inhabitants.
Bwindi is a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its thick rainforest, birdlife, and incredible gorilla trekking experience. Every gorilla permit supports conservation and helps local communities living near the park.
Day 1: Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Your guide will pick you up from Kampala or Entebbe International Airport (flights should arrive before 9:00 AM). From there, enjoy a road trip through Uganda’s countryside toward Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Along the way, stop at the Equator for photos and a short explanation of its location and meaning.
Continue the journey through small towns and green hills until you reach Bwindi. Check in at your lodge, rest, and prepare for tomorrow’s big adventure.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking & Batwa Community Visit
After an early breakfast, head to the park office for a gorilla trekking briefing. You’ll join a guided group and walk through the forest to find the gorillas. The trek might take a few hours, depending on where the gorillas are.
Once found, you’ll spend a special hour observing them — watching their behavior, taking photos, and enjoying the rare chance to be so close to these gentle giants.
Return to the lodge for lunch and some time to rest.
In the evening, visit the Batwa community, where you’ll learn about their history, dances, and daily life. It’s a meaningful look at how people once lived in the forest.
Day 3: Return to Entebbe or Kampala
After breakfast, check out and begin your journey back to Entebbe or Kampala. Enjoy the drive and take in the views one more time.
Depending on your flight schedule, your guide can make quick stops along the way to show you more of local life or nature.
Arrive in Entebbe in time for your evening flight. That marks the end of your gorilla trekking safari.
