3 Days Safari to Mikumi & Udzungwa national parks from Dar es Salaam Itinerary
At 8:00 am, your driver guide with a 4×4, pop-up roof safari vehicle shall pick you up in Dar and drive you to Mikumi. You shall pass through the countryside heading south and make a stop at Morogoro town to have your lunch. You shall arrive at Mikumi in the afternoon just in time for your lunch. Have your afternoon at leisure and in the evening you shall have your dinner at 7:30 pm and overnight at Simbamwenni Tented Lodge. Meal plan (Dinner)
Have your breakfast at 7:00 am, and at 8:00 am, with your picnic lunch, your driver guide shall drive you to Mikumi national park for a full day game drive. You shall explore the Mkata floodplain that draws comparison to the more famous Serengeti due to it’s high concentration of wildlife. You shall see giraffes, zebras, elephants, jackals, lions, hyenas and several bird species. Enjoy your lunch at 12:30 pm, and then continue with game drive until 2:00 PM. At 2:30 PM exit the park and drive to Udzungwa for dinner and overnight Udzungwa Falls Lodge. Meal plan (breakfast + lunch + dinner)
Have your breakfast at 7:00 am and at 8:00 am go to Udzungwa Mountains information centre for a briefing of the mountain range which provides an amazing hike and easy to climb up especially to hikers that are not summit minded. After the briefing start your hiking and walking safaris along the beautiful landscapes and thick lush forests. Go all the way up to Sanje falls and explore the waterfalls and get to swim in it’s waters before you have your lunch. Have your lunch at 1:00 pm and at 2:00 pm we shall board your vehicles and drive back to Dar for drop off. Meal plan (breakfast + lunch)
