4 Days 3 Nights Itinerary
Day 1 : Drive to Ngorongoro:
12:30 pm – Lunch in Arusha, Tanzania’s tourist hub. Arusha is a city located in Northern Tanzania, at the foot of Mount Meru. 2:00 pm – Drive to Ngorongoro. Travel time/distance is approximately (4 Hrs / 210 kms) 7:30 pm – Dinner and overnight in Ngorongoro.
Day 2 : Drive from Ngorongoro to Serengeti National Park.:
6:30 am – Breakfast 7:30 am – Half-day game drive in the Crater. With our packed lunchboxes we go for a half-day Crater game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater. This is a conservation area and a UNESCO World Heritage site, also known as “the eighth wonder of the world”. Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s most popular wildlife sanctuaries. It offers a unique biosphere which has remained virtually unchanged since the beginning of time. Deep within the Crater, enclosed by towering walls, some 25,000 large mammals wander the plains, lakes and forests of “the land that time forgot” dominated by enormous bull elephants, rhinos and lions. 2:00 pm – En-route game drive to SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK, one of the world’s greatest game parks. Serengeti is a Maasai name meaning endless plains in the Maasai language. The Serengeti continues to be an ongoing source of inspiration to writers, filmmakers and photographers alike. It’s a 3-4 hours drive from Ngorongoro to Serengeti National Park. Distance is 140 km. 7:30 pm – Dinner and overnight in Serengeti
Day 3 : Drive to Serengeti to Lake Manyara National Park:
6:00 am – Breakfast 7:00 am – Game drive with picnic lunch. This is a visit to Africa’s most famous national park and a world-wide wonder. This incredible animal sanctuary is famed for its annual migration, when some six million hooves pound the open plains, as more than 200,000 zebras and 300,000 Thompson gazelles join the wilder beasts’ trek for fresh grazing. 12:00 pm – Lunch, then drive to Manyara National Park with an option to pass by Olduvai Gorge where ground breaking archaeological discoveries was made. Well known for its vast grassy plains, dotted with beautiful acacia trees. 7:00 pm – Dinner and overnight in Manyara
Day 4 : Drive back to Arusha:
7:00 am – Breakfast 8:00 am – Game drive commences in the Lake Manyara National Park. The compact game-viewing circuit through Manyara offers a virtual microcosm of the Tanzania safari experience from the entrance gate, the road winds through an expanse of lush jungle like groundwater forest where hundreds-strong baboon troops lunge nonchalantly along the roadside, blue monkeys scamper nimbly between the ancient mahogany trees, dainty bushbuck tread warily through the shadows, and outsized forest hornbills honk cacophonously in the high canopy. 10:30 pm – Drive back to Arusha. Travel time/distance is approximately (2½ Hrs / 130 kms)
