Umbwe Route

Umbwe Route has the infamous notoriety of being the most testing route on Mount Kilimanjaro. It is viewed as the shortest, steepest and most direct way to deal with Uhuru Peak.

The following are a few facts about Umbwe route:

  • Duration: The Umbwe route should be possible in 5 days, however, this isn’t suggested as it has no acclimatization days and has a nearly low achievement rate. Most agendas will go for 6 or 7 days which offer additional time for acclimatization.
  • Area: The Umbwe route starts on the southern side of Mount Kilimanjaro, the route is effectively available.
  • Stature: The route arrives at the summit of Kilimanjaro at the Uhuru pinnacle arriving at a tallness of 5,895 meters (19,341 feet).
  • Trail conditions: The trail itself is steep, and you will end up trekking through unpleasant outcrops, and in spots, you’ll be gripping tree courses as you destroy yourself up to the inclination. As you travel to the high snow-topped zone you will encounter strong breezes and will be introduced presented to the brutal weather of Kilimanjaro.
