Itinerary
Overnight MOSHI (Bed & breakfast)
Drive to Kilimanjaro National Park Gate at Londorossi for the first section of the climb through the lush forest to reach forest campsite close to the gate. Overnight FOREST CAMP
Continue through the forest on to the Shira Plateau to reach Shira campsite for overnight SHIRA CAMP
Heading eastwards and leaving the forest, continue ascending through the dry landscape following the ridge and passing through heather and open moorlands before reaching Barranco campsite for overnight BARRANCO CAMP.
Extra day for acclimatization. You will stay overnight at KARANGA VALLEY – (OPTIONAL- Extra Charge applicable)
The path climbs steeply out of the Barranco Valley, turns north to reach Barafu campsite. Overnight BARAFU CAMP
A long day and an early start to reach the crater rim at Stella Point in time for sunrise. Continue on to Uhuru Peak at 19,341ft/5,895m the highest point in Africa. Descend to Mweka campsite for overnight MWEKA CAMP
Descend through the forest to the park gate at Mweka Wildlife College to be met and transferred back to/for overnight MOSHI (Bed & Breakfast)
Breakfast, transfer to the hotel and end of your tour.
