9 Day Machame Route Itinerary

Overnight MOSHI (Bed & breakfast)
Transfer to the entrance gate at Machame. From here trek through the lush forest to MACHAME CAMP, dinner then overnight.
Leaving the forest, the path follows a steep ridge, passing through heather and open moorlands, and crossing a large gorge reaching SHIRA CAMP where dinner is served then overnight.
In the morning after breakfast turn eastward and continue ascending through the dry landscape before dropping again to reach BARRANCO CAMP where dinner is served then overnight.
Extra day for acclimatization. You will stay overnight at KARANGA VALLEY – (OPTIONAL- Extra Charge applicable)
The path climbs up steeply out of the Barranco Valley, crosses the turning North to reach BARAFU CAMP where dinner is served then overnight.
A long day and an early start to reach the crater rim at Stella Point in time for sunrise. Then continue to Uhuru Peak (19,341ft./5,895m)the highest point in Africa. Afterward, descend to Barafu and on down to MWEKA CAMP for camp and overnight.
The day spent in descending down to Mweka Park Gate from where you will be transferred to/for overnight MOSHI (Bed & breakfast)
Breakfast, transfer to the airport and end of your tour.
